Save the Date for the 2023 MoBCI Conference!

August 24–25, 2023 at the Columbia Country Club. The theme of this year’s conference is “One Health Concept of Community Conservation.”

We’re still ginning up the agenda, but will likely have talks on urban deer management and how it protects bird habitat, reduction of bird strike collisions in urban areas, and the keynote speaker Thursday night will address the Missouri Department of Conservation’s new Community Conservation Tiers which help drive attention (and dollars) to our underserved communities.

There is a block of rooms at the Best Western near the conference venue, with a nightly rate of $84+tax, which translates to $94.06 total. Call the hotel directly for hotel arrangements for Thursday night:

Best Western Plus Columbia Inn
2904 Clark Lane, Columbia, MO 65202
573.397.6471

As we get closer to a final agenda and a release of the new MoBCI grant Request for Proposals that will incorporate more areas statewide to take into consideration the Community Conservation Tiers, we’ll keep you posted!

Thank you for all you do for bird conservation in Missouri!
